My Unpopular Opinions... - Shreya Sachdev

Hi everyone! I hope you’re all having a nice day. For today’s blog post, I thought I would share my unpopular opinions with all of you. I’ve been seeing lots of Youtube videos around the topic of “unpopular opinions” and they basically just consist of someone stating their unpopular opinions and viewpoints that other people would most likely disagree with. I think that these videos are really entertaining to watch and I’ve found that I agree with some of these unpopular opinions but also disagree with some of them. I thought that for today’s blog post, I would just write up a few of my own unpopular opinions on the topic of film, media, music, food, and other things to see what everyone else thinks! Before I start this post, I just want to point out that I’m not trying to offend anyone and I don’t want anyone to take anything I say personally. This is just me expressing my viewpoint and it’s completely fine if others disagree or agree with me. I hope you enjoy and if you do then please make sure to subscribe to my website! Without further ado, let’s get started!

James Charles is correct, Tati Is wrong:

I actually think that after James Charles’ most recent video, this has become a very popular opinion but I wanted to include this in anyway. After watching his video, I truly believe that Tati left out many important details and tried her hardest to make James Charles look like a villain. She stated that James Charles never contacted her after the Coachella incident, but it’s clear from the screenshots James Charles showed in the video that he tried multiple times to contact both Tati Westbrook and her husband, James. Therefore, Tati lied in her video and it’s honestly shameful for a successful woman in her thirties to be trying to ruin a 19 year old’s career. Not only that, but she is making serious allegations and stating that James Charles is trying to manipulate other boys’ sexuality in order to receiving sexual action from them. From James Charles’ screenshots and with Sam Cooke’s video, it’s clear that what happened in Seattle was consensual. Therefore, I would say that from all the information I have read, James Charles is in the right here and Tati is in the wrong.

Olivia Jade is innocent:

Yikes, I already know the amount of people that are going to disagree with me on this one, but I just want to explain this clearly: First of all, I’m not an Olivia Jade fan and I barely even knew who she was before the scandal broke out. I knew there was a Youtuber that had a famous mom, but I didn’t actually know what this Youtuber’s name was. When the scandal broke out, I realized this was Olivia Jade. The reason as to why I think she’s innocent is because she didn’t even want to go to college, and her parents forced her to go. In other words, her parents are NOT innocent, but Olivia Jade is because she was forcefully placed in that situation. The reason as to why I think it’s obvious she was forced into that situation is because after watching her videos, it’s clear that she didn’t want to go to college and her parents wanted her to. In a video she made with Brandon Calvillo about college, she stated that she actually wanted to drop out of high school but her mother made her stick it out, and then her father forced her to go to college. People should leave her alone, and instead focus their energy and hatred on the parents. Another thing I want to point out is that paying a school 500,000$ to get your child accepted into a top university is not any worse than paying a donation. Most donors almost always get into the school of their choice, so technically there isn’t a difference between bribing a college and donating to a college.

Guys with brown eyes & brown hair are hotter than guys with blue eyes & blonde hair:

I find boys who have brown eyes and brown hair much more attractive than boys who have blue eyes and blonde hair. I’m not sure why. I know lots of girls that prefer the classic surfer dude who has blonde hair and blue eyes, and those kind of guys tend to be the center of teenage-romance movies, but personally I’ve always been attracted to boys who have brown hair and brown eyes. By all means, this doesn’t mean that I am repulsed by blonde hair and blue eyes at all. I just prefer brown hair and brown eyes because it’s my personal taste and in the past, I’ve actually only had crushes on boys with brown hair and brown eyes.

Coffee is better than tea:

Honestly, I absolutely despise tea. I think that it just doesn’t taste like anything and I don’t understand why people have it. I mean, it’s just so bitter. Coffee is so much better, especially iced coffee because it actually wakes you up and tastes good. I remember when I was younger, I would always drink cups and cups of green tea because I heard that green tea would make you have a faster metabolism. When I would drink it, I would literally feel like vomiting afterwards because it was so disgusting. However, the first time I tried coffee, I absolutely loved it. Now, I’m obsessed with going to Starbucks and other restaurants in order to have coffee, but I have not had tea in many years.

Billie Eilish is overrated:

I like Billie Eilish, but I think she is so overrated. I mean, don’t get me wrong, I enjoy her songs “Copycat” , “Ocean Eyes” and “My Boy” but other than those, I don’t find her music that good. I know lots of girls and lots of people who are obsessed with her music, but honestly I don’t see anything that special about it. I think it’s amazing how she’s only seventeen years old and she’s already got so many albums published and she’s working with some of the biggest singers right now, but as far as her music goes, I personally think it’s quite average and I would any day choose to listen to Ariana Grande or Taylor Swift as opposed to her.

LA is better than NYC:

If you guys read my “Which Places Have I Visited Around The World?” blog post, then you would have seen that I have visited both Los Angeles and New York City. Even though I have visited New York City more than I have visited Los Angeles, I can safely say that I preferred Los Angeles and would rather live there than live in New York City. Because Los Angeles is home to so many studios and so many celebrities’ homes, I think I enjoyed the experience a lot more and would rather go back there if I had the choice between LA and New York. Another factor is the weather. I absolutely love the sunshine, as do most people, and it’s definitely a benefit to be able to be in the sun all year round and visit the beach whenever you want to. It’s always been my dream to live in LA and I really hope I get to one day! Overall, that’s it for my unpopular opinions! I could have included more unpopular opinions about different foods, qualities about guys, and television shows that other people like and I don’t, but I am planning to make a separate blog post on a list of foods I like and dislike, along with qualities I find attractive and unattractive in guys. I wanted the unpopular opinions that I speak of in this blog post to be quite random and something that everyone knew about and/or had heard of. As I said before, I would love to know whether or not anyone agrees with me on these unpopular opinions, and if you do then please be sure to tell me! As always, subscribe to my website and keep a lookout for my next few blog posts coming up. Bye!
