If I Had Three Wishes, What Would I Wish For? - Shreya Sachdev

Hi everyone! I hope you’re all having a nice day. For today’s blog post, I thought I would talk what I would wish for if I had three wishes. I thought that this would make a really interesting blog post because I feel like if everyone had the opportunity to have three wishes granted to them, then everyone would wish for extremely different things since some people would value materialistic things over genuine happiness, whereas some people would value health and safety over materialistic things. Honestly, I had to think a lot about the things that I personally would wish for, and I realized that my wishes are actually quite straight forward and are quite easy to understand since they’re probably things that everyone wants. I want to make it very clear that even though I would wish for certain things if I was given the opportunity, that doesn’t mean that I’m ungrateful for the lifestyle that I’ve grown up in, or that I’m “greedy” for more things in life. I am so happy with my life and I know how blessed I am. I’m only writing this post because I thought that it would be really interesting for you guys to understand what I would personally wish for and it would also enable you guys to get to know me better. Make sure to let me know what you guys would wish for if you had the opportunity to have three wishes granted to you, and without further ado let’s get started!

  1. To Become Rich All By Myself: I mean, this one is pretty obvious and that’s that I would wish for money, and a lot of it. After all, the world revolves around money and I think if people had lots of money then that would solve the majority of their problems. If someone has money, then they’re able to live a life full of luxury and they’re able to basically do anything they want. Now, I was extremely fortunate to be born into a multimillionaire family and I never had to worry about having money growing up, not even for a single second. However, now I’m 18 years old and in a few years I’ll have to get my own job and make my own money. I really want to be able to earn as much (or more) as my parents do since I don’t want to change the lifestyle that I have grown up in because I have loved every holiday I’ve taken and every luxury item my parents have ever bought me. Thus, I want to make sure that I am able to live that same kind of lifestyle without relying on my parent’s financially. Therefore, my first wish would be for me to become rich all by myself and through my own hard work. I know this wish sounds strange because I’m wishing to become rich all by myself, so technically it’s not all by myself if this was something that was granted to me by a wish, but what I’m trying to say is that I wish for the hard-work ethic and the discipline to be able to help me become a self-made millionaire and follow in my parent’s footsteps.

  2. To Be Able To Travel Anywhere In Seconds: Oh my god, my second wish would definitely be to be able to travel anywhere in the world in just two seconds. I mean, how amazing would that be? Just imagine being able to travel to Los Angeles for the weekend and going shopping on Rodeo Drive, or going to New York City and going shopping on Fifth Avenue just for a few hours and then coming back home. It would be really great to be anywhere you want to be in the matter of a few seconds and it would be a dream come true for me. I have a list of countries that I want to visit in the future and it would be so great if I could skip the planes and the airport lines and just be where I want to be in the matter of a few seconds. Moreover, I recently moved from Geneva to Madrid and I would absolutely love it if I could go back to Geneva for just a few seconds and see the iconic Lake Geneva one more time. Maybe one day…an invention like this might actually exist.

  3. To Be Liked Back By Whoever I Like: LOL. Honestly, I think this is one that a lot of people would wish for, and that’s to be liked back by whoever you like. It’s obviously extremely painful when the person you like doesn’t feel the same way, and if there was always a guarantee that the person you like always likes you back, then that would take away a huge weight on your shoulders and it would just be very comforting. It would also take away the fear of telling them how you feel and the worry that it could ruin your friendship with them or whatever. I wouldn’t say I’ve ever been in love before, but I have liked people that haven’t liked me back, and that’s why this is something I would definitely wish for. However, I wouldn’t put this as my first or second wish just because I think I can always live my life without relying on someone else emotionally in my life, and money and travel are definitely more important to me.
