Macbeth (1606) - Shreya Sachdev
Macbeth is a 1606 play written by William Shakespeare. Macbeth is another one of my favorite plays written by Shakespeare because it really puts emphasis on certain important themes such as manipulation and guilt. Macbeth is about a woman, Lady Macbeth who convinces her husband, Macbeth to kill the king so that her husband can be in charge and be the new king. The way she convinces him is by emasculating him. Another reason I actually loved this play is because of the way Lady Macbeth manipulates her husband. It's an insight into her character and really shows us that to a certain extent, Lady Macbeth is very smart because she realizes that emasculating a man is one of biggest insults you can give to a man. She uses this to her advantage and successfully convinces her husband. After this, the readers can see how much guilt and pressure both Lady Macbeth and Macbeth are faced with as the investigation goes on. Macbeth is another one of Shakespeare's great plays and I would give Macbeth a 10/10.
