Good Girls Season Two (2019) - Shreya Sachdev
Good Girls Season Two picks up right where Season One left off. The girls find themselves in more trouble than ever before now that they were unsuccessful in putting Rio and his gang away. It turns out that the cops now have evidence to charge the girls with robbing the grocery store and the girls must come together to create a very clever plan in order to get out of this situation whilst also balancing their relationships at home. As you guys all know, I loved Good Girls Season One. It was my favorite television show and I couldn’t wait till Season Two came out. I was also really obsessed with the character of Rio (played by Manny Montana) and wanted to see more of him on screen. Season two only recently came out on Netflix, though, and I had actually watched it before on another website because I couldn’t wait any longer. Honestly, I have to say that I was disappointed in the season. There are a lot of scenes and moments that will make you go “Why would she do that?” or “Why is he okay with this?” and it makes you think that the majority of the characters in the show are just dumb. Along with that, the show is adding on so many new characters that it’s difficult to keep up with everything that’s going on. Don’t get me wrong, there were many scenes throughout the season that I really loved and showed how close the girls were, revealed major plot twists, and made me want to keep watching. However, compared to how good the first season was, I just wish the dialogue was better in the second season. I’m still not giving up though and look forward to Season Three. I give Good Girls Season Two a 6.5/10.
