Elite is a 2018 drama television show directed by Ramon Salazar and is about three middle class high school students who enter an elite private high school and meet some of the wealthiest children in Spain. Elite stars Maria Pedraza, Miguel Bernardeau, Miguel Harran, Danna Paola, Ester Exposito Aron Piper, Alvaro Rico Mina El Hammani, and Jaime Lorente. All the characters play high school students from this elite private high school, and all hold certain relationships with each other. I think what’s really interesting about this show is that I’ve never seen a plot line like this, that is a show in which middle class teenagers meet upper class teenagers and they both learn about the different ways in which the other class lives. It’s something I see a lot in my own high school, in which there are clearly students who come from very different backgrounds and therefore have different concerns when it comes to money. What I like about this show is that it does follow the story of how the upper class high school students realize that they enjoy being with the middle class students, and how it does not actually matter where they come from or how rich their family is. I also usually don’t like it when there are too many characters in a television show or movie, but I actually didn’t mind at all with Elite because I think that each character serves a unique purpose to the show, and it’s crucial for them to be there. I loved the first season of Elite, and would give it a 10/10.
