Modern Family Season Ten (2018) - Shreya Sachdev
Modern Family Season Ten is created by Christopher Lloyd and Steven Levitan and stars Ty Burrell, Julie Bowen, Sarah Hyland, Nolan Gould, Ariel Winter, Ed O’Neill, Sofia Vergara, Rico Rodriquez, Eric Stonestreet, and Jesse Tyler Ferguson. As I’m sure most of you know, Modern Family, alongside Friends, is one of my favorite television shows. Therefore, I was really surprised when I saw that I had never actually reviewed a season of Modern Family, so I decided to review the latest one which is of course season ten. The season actually came out a few months back, but I only started watching it this summer and I surprisingly enjoyed it. The truth is, as the years have gone by I’ve started to dislike Modern Family more and more just because I don’t think the episodes are very funny anymore. To be honest, I do think it’s also because now the kids have more or less completely grown up and because of that, the show just naturally isn’t very funny anymore since everyone is now an adult. Thus, I didn’t have high hopes for season ten but as it turns out it was an enjoyable season. Obviously, one of the biggest things that happens during this season is that Haley gets pregnant so a lot of the episodes are centered around that which I really liked, and I think in this season you can really tell how close the family is despite the children now getting jobs and growing up. My favorite episodes from this season were “Stuck in a Moment”, “Blasts From the Past”, “A Moving Day”, “Can’t Elope”, and “A Year of Birthdays.” I look forward to the last season of the show which should be coming out this September. I would give Modern Family Season Ten a 8/10.
